SAL LANDI was born and raised in New York City. Inspired by films and family friends, he began studying acting at the renowned Actors Studio in New York Cit .

Moving West, Sal first starred with Ray Liotta and David Caruso in the ABC telefilm, Crazy Times. He co-starred in the cult favorite, Savage Streets, with Martin Landau in Sweet Revenge, with Chevy Chase and Jack Palance in Michael Ritchie’s film, Cops and Robbersons, with James Caan and Bette Midler in Mark Rydell’s film, For the Boys, with Richard Dreyfuss and Anthony La Paglia in David Mamet’s Lansky for HBO. 

Sal has appeared in over 34 feature films and worked with 5 Academy Award® winning directors, including Oliver Stone in the film, South Central. He gives a compelling performance, as a dying man who tries to make things right for his son, in the award winning independent film The Indian. Sal's acting student Matt Dallas made his feature film debut playing his son and went on to become a teen sensation in Kyle XY.

Sal has guest-starred in over 50 episodic television shows playing diverse roles in The Closer, CSI, 24, Nip/Tuck, The X Files, NYPD Blue, JAG, Charmed, Cold Case, Navy N.C.I.S. Recently, Sal has fans guessing his true motives as the mysterious Mr. Green, in a recurring role, on ABC's hit series Ugly Betty.

On stage Sal has starred in, directed or produced over 35 plays both in Los Angeles and New York. He received an “LA Drama Critics Award” for his work in Sam Shepard’s, The Unseen Hand.

He’s also starred in and co-produced, Love and Sex, Etc. with Daniel Yost, the award winning writer of Drugstore Cowboy. As a writer Sal is in pre-production on Double or Nothing which he co-wrote with Dan.

Sal has been successfully teaching acting in Hollywood for the last twenty years. Carrie Ann Moss, Matt Dallas, Robert Patrick, George Clooney and Dolph Lundgren are a few of the actors Sal has enjoyed working with over the years.
